The country home was previously owned by the McLaurin family, and was the second of two homes located on a working horse farm. The home was moved to its present location in 1996. It was purchased late in 1997 by Bud and Beth McKinney and converted into a bed and breakfast.
B&B is short for Bed and Breakfast as well as the initials of Bud and Beth. The home is located in the country on eight plus acres of ponds and gardens. This bed and breakfast is a relaxed down-to-earth inn.
Each room has been individually named in honor of family members of the McKinneys. The home has a flair for relaxation and good times. Read the stories under Rooms and Rates.
Bud and Beth, eloped after dating for 3 months in December 1969. They had looked for a reasonable costing place to get married, but everything was too expensive for them. They hoped that someday they could have a place to share having those beautiful weddings. Today, they have all types of events at the bed and breakfast.
Beth born in Denver, raised in Chicago meeting Bud in Chicago (his birthplace) and the birthplace of their two children, Rob and Julie, were transferred to Austin Texas with IBM in 1976 and then to Raleigh 1989. In 1992, with Bud’s full retirement from IBM, they joined up to become RE/MAX agents topping the charts in the area as The Team That Cares….and sharing relocating clients with rooms at the inn.
Today, Bud and Beth are enjoying semi-retirement, the inn events, and traveling to see their 3 wonderful grandchildren in the states of Indiana and Tennessee.
